How to park in piran?

Parking & Arrival Instructions

As Piran is a historic pedestrian zone, parking and driving within the town is reserved exclusively for residents with permits. Therefore, it is not possible to park directly in front of the hotel or elsewhere in town.

Here are detailed parking instructions:

1. Arrival

We recommend parking your car first at the public parking garage Fornace, located at the entrance to Piran.

You’ll see the garage on your left as you approach the town.

We DO NOT recommend driving into Piran with your car. Guests with disabilities are allowed to drive directly to the hotel, but we kindly ask that you inform the reception in advance.

2. Parking Garage Details

Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If the garage is full, you may need to wait at the entrance until a space becomes available. This rarely happens. After parking, take the elevator down to the ground level and follow the signs to the minibus stop by the sea. 

The Fornače Parking Garage offers 838 parking spaces across 8 levels and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Vehicle access (entrance and exit) is located on the top, 7th level of the garage.

It is not possible to reserve a parking space in the public garage!

3. Getting to the Hotel from the Garage

Minibus: A minibus runs every 15 minutes between the garage and Tartini Square (our hotel’s location). Tickets cost 1€ per person, payable by credit card on the bus.

Walking: Enjoy a scenic 15-minute walk along the seaside path to reach the hotel. If you are lucky, you might even get to see Triglav, our highest mountain!

4. Parking Discount for Guests

We offer a discounted parking rate at the Fornace garage for our guests (payment must be made at the hotel reception). Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
